So, when you are an actual guest and not an intruder, they greet you with special cocktails! Just like the brandy place in Stellenbosch. This tradition of hospitality goes a long way, and I love it!
Then outside on the deck from the pool, this is the view of where the river meets the beach. It is awesome.
Nice and relaxing. A real treat for a break from Grahamstown.
The observatory study room adjacent to our bedroom.
The sherry and cookies left by our bedside.
Beautiful bathroom with soaking tub and walk in shower. Plus a heated towel rack not shown.
On our porch we spent the first night drawing, eating cheese/crackers/fruits/nuts etc., drinking wine and talking while the sun set in the distance. It was magnificent. The next day we walked along the beach. We navigated along the sand dunes to the river bed that was now mostly dry to the ocean. The river area right in front of the waves crashing was pretty deep and probably dangerous. If we were feeling like swimming it would have been doable. But at this time it was a bit too much. We were so enthralled with the beauty no one was thinking about any one thing for very long.

It was a great escape to a wonderful beach vacation with my mom. She and I had a great time hanging out together in SA. The scenery besides the beach at the Oyster box made it so amazing. We spent time by the fireplace inside, and tried to light a fire outside (too bad :(, I failed with the wet wood). The breakfast we had lasted all day in the huge kitchen that was there. We made plans that if we could arrange for people to visit, then this is where we would stay. Party all day and night, cooking, laughing, and enjoying the company of nice people. Like we normally do.

Lovely pics :)
